The very foundation of CHFESDI lies in addressing the economic and social situation affecting Haiti. The Center will directly intervene in the professional and technical training of the population, as well as in the economic and social development of the Republic of Haiti. We will contribute to the country’s development by implementing programs, projects, and sustainable development initiatives, including technical and professional training centers, basic education, and targeted projects addressing economic development, integrated rural development, environmental protection, social development, institutional and human development, the fight against poverty, equal opportunities, equity and social justice, gender equality, etc.

We call upon the civic conscience of all Haitians, those with potential to offer to their country, professionals, artisans, farmers, workers, as well as all national and international actors who wish to lend a hand to Haiti, to support our activities through their resources, which will promote economic and social development, employability, gender equality, the social reintegration of youth and children, with the aim of putting Haiti back on the path of development.

Our Mission

The Haitian Center for Training, Economic and Social Development is committed to intervening directly in Haiti’s community and social economic development, through the creation of educational/training infrastructures, programs, and projects that address the real and urgent needs of Haiti's reconstruction.

The core of our mission focuses on technical and professional training and the implementation of development programs and projects. Specifically:

​

  • Establish basic education and technical/professional training structures, as well as development programs and projects that promote community and social economic development in Haiti.

  • Support Haitian women, youth, and children in the socio-economic recovery of their communities.

​

  • Manage various programs and projects that ensure the restoration of fundamental human rights, democracy in Haiti, and human dignity.

​

  • Develop strong and serious partnerships with the Haitian Government, grassroots organizations, foundations, government agencies, and international partners, toward achieving economic development and good governance.

​

  • Establish reliable partnerships in the fields of technological and scientific knowledge transfer, as well as commercial and intercultural exchange between Haiti and Canada, as well as with other countries that have comparative advantages with Haiti.

  • Prepare and submit targeted projects and programs to international institutions that highlight the effective integration and empowerment of Haitian men and women in the economic and social development of their country.

  • Promote local expertise to intensify the economic integration process of Haiti and the well-being of the Haitian population.

​

  • Play a leadership role in building basic infrastructures that meet community needs and local development through socio-economic development projects in rural and urban communities.

  • Value and promote the importance of female workforce in all sectors of the national economy to improve the status of women in the economic, social, and family spheres.
